Short description

MOTOYOL is a motorcycle game set on stages designed from a real Turkish mountain road. Players ride the five stages of the Zigana Pass from the rider's seat or from behind, against three rivals. The riding feel was tuned by a motorcycle instructor.

Long description

MOTOYOL's position fits in one line: not changing lanes on a straight road, but riding a real corner. The first route is the Zigana Pass. The old mountain pass road from Trabzon to Gümüşhane was redesigned for riding on top of a skeleton taken from OpenStreetMap and SRTM data. Five stages total 16.9 km, with the highest point at 2,031 metres. The road runs from spruce forest to an avalanche gallery, from the pass mosque to above a sea of clouds.

The bike leans into a corner like a real motorcycle; the rider hangs off, and at the limit their knee touches the tarmac. The dash, navigation and mirrors work. Easy, medium and realistic riding assists are the player's choice: on Easy the cornering assist works without getting in the way, on Realistic the assists are off. Physics run on a fixed-step, deterministic model; the riding feel comes from tuning by a motorcycle instructor, the studio's founder, who rode the game.

Lucenova Studios is a small, independent game studio from Türkiye. MOTOYOL is its first game.
